Erica Mancini

Mancini fell in love with the accordion while traveling abroad in Italy, where she found herself chasing the sound of a roving accordionist through the winding streets of a Tuscan city. Drawing on inspiration from music ranging from Argentine tango and Russian folk songs, to American western swing and Tin Pan Alley hits, Erica belts out songs both old and new with a salty and sultry kick. Though the repertoire launches from roots and American traditional jazz music, Mancini's music powers in many directions, almost as if reflecting New York City's diversity and rich multiculturalism. Her unique style and voice transports the listener to another time and place, and can be described as ethereal and whimsical. She has performed internationally, with shows in Europe and South America, and has played at The Whitney Museum of Art, Sleep No More, Le Poisson Rouge, Joe's Pub, The Slipper Room, Lincoln Center, and on national television.
