The New Moon Blues Band is built around the sounds of traditional acoustic blues, and spiritual tunes. Formed in the spring of 2016, new Moon Blues has developed a full rich sound that stays true to the early acoustic blues sound with the jump of a full blues ensemble. Performing the music of artists such as the Reverend Gary Davis, Robert Johnson, Sam Chapmon, Mississippi John Hurt and the like. In effort to recreate the emotion and feeling of the time and place this music was most popular. America in the early 1900's. 

Karl A. Schwarz is an acoustic blues and gospel guitarist and singer based in Nyc. His styles range from Mississippi Delta Blues, to Piedmont Blues, traditional spiritual and gospel music. Karl has been performing in New York City and through out the untied States as a soloist, as well as with Musa Foday Suso, Jerry Dugger's Acoustic Blues Caravan, Moonshine Blues Band and with his latest project, the New Moon Acoustic Blues Band. With a humble understanding of American history and folklore, Karl performs classic acoustic blues in effort to uplift people through the stories and sounds of early black American acoustic Blues.
